So..... lesson learned. Check ALL clothing before putting it in the washer and dryer. I forgot to check Scott's jeans and he had a black ink pen in one of his pockets. A run through the washer and the dryer resulted in an entire load of spotted, permanently stained clothes.
In the mix:
$50 pair of jeans
$15 brand new shirt from Banana Republic
My favorite pair of comfy pants
3 of Scott's favorite shirts
and many more casualties that we were less upset about...
But! We will not let this ruin our night! Sure, we were perturbed for a time, but we are moving on.
In fact! I am going to add some paint to my ruined shirt, run it through the washer and dryer, and make a NEW shirt! Ha! Perfection. Every mistake can lead to something wonderful :-)
